Community Guidelines

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11
Church Connect is a place for believers to encourage one another, pray together and grow in God’s Word. Everyone who uses the app can see what you post on the Home feed, so please help keep it a safe, kind and Christ-centered place. By creating an account, you agree to these guidelines.
Please do
- Encourage and build up. Share testimonies, Bible verses, devotionals, notes and words of hope.
- Speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). It’s fine to disagree, as long as you do it gently and respectfully.
- Pray for one another and respond with kindness, especially to people who are hurting.
- Post your own photos, or photos you have permission to share.
- Report anything that breaks these guidelines using ⚑ Report on the post.
Please don’t post
- Hate or harassment: insults, bullying, threats, or attacks on anyone because of their race, nationality, church, gender, age or disability.
- Sexual or violent content, or anything not suitable for children and families.
- Spam, advertising or scams: selling, fundraising for yourself, pyramid schemes, or links that trick people.
- Mocking God, the Bible or other believers, or posts meant to start fights.
- Other people’s private information: phone numbers, addresses, or someone’s prayer request shared without their permission.
- Photos of other people’s children without their parents’ permission.
- False information meant to mislead, including pretending to be someone else, a pastor or a church.
- Anything illegal.
What happens if a post breaks these guidelines
- When someone reports a post, it is hidden for them right away. After 3 reports it is hidden for everyone until a moderator reviews it.
- Moderators may remove posts or comments that break these guidelines.
- Moderators may block an account. Blocked accounts can’t post or comment, and their posts are hidden.
- Serious or illegal content may be reported to the authorities.
Your church’s own space
Events, announcements, sermons and prayer requests inside a church are only seen by that church’s members and are managed by its own admins and staff. These guidelines apply there too.
